My Philosophy On Teaching And Coaching The Game Of Golf

I believe that anyone and everyone can learn to play the game of golf. I believe learning the game can be a lifelong process and is suited for anyone ages 4 to 100. As someone who has been involved in the game for over 36 years, as both a professional player and coach, I am fortunate to have learned from the students, teachers and players who crossed my path. I draw on these experiences everyday as I coach kids and adults at all skill levels.

My approach, and I believe my differentiator, is to emphasize both the physical and mental aspects of the game. I focus on coaching to the unique needs and aspirations of each student. I work to understand their goals, their strengths and weaknesses, their learning style and level of commitment to the game. I will adapt my coaching style to their personality in order to connect with them on a level that maximizes the learning exchange and keeps their motivation high.

In addition to teaching the mechanics of the game, I also emphasize the importance of goal-oriented practicing, how to transfer skills to the golf course and mental and emotional readiness. I believe the best way to achieve success in all aspects of the game is to engage students in a long term program, specifically tailored to their needs and goals.

I am very committed to getting the results a student wants to achieve, whether I am coaching professionals, competitive juniors, committed amateur players or those that wish to play for the enjoyment and fun of the game. I am very passionate about the game of golf and feel very fortunate to be able to share my knowledge with my students each and every day.
